  • 4  cups  shredded sharp cheddar cheese (1 pound)On Sale
  • 3/4  cup  mayonnaise or salad dressingOn Sale
  • 1  medium  onion, finely chopped (1/2 cup)On Sale
  • 1  clove  garlic, mincedOn Sale
  • 1/4  teaspoon  bottled hot pepper sauceOn Sale
  • 1  cup  raspberry preserves or orange marmaladeOn Sale
  •     Fresh salad greens and fresh herbs (optional)On Sale
  •     Crackers and/or party rye breadOn Sale

Directions
1.
In a large bowl, mix cheese, mayonnaise, onion, garlic and pepper sauce.
2.
Spoon firmly into a greased 3- to 3-1/2-cup ring mold. Unmold onto a serving plate. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour before serving, if desired.
3.
Fill center with raspberry preserves or orange marmalade or fresh salad greens and fresh herbs, if desired. Serve spread and preserves with crackers or party rye bread.
