  • 2  cups  melon, such as cantaloupe, honeydew, or seedless yellow or red watermelon, cut into 1/4- to 1/2-inch cubesOn Sale
  • 1/4  cup  bottled sangria or sparkling white grape juiceOn Sale
  • 2  tablespoons  finely chopped fresh jalapeno pepper, seeds removed (peppers optional)On Sale
  • 4,  2-inch-thick slices  cut from half of a seedless red watermelon, chilled and halvedOn Sale
  • 1  tablespoon  lemon juiceOn Sale

Directions

For salsa, in a medium bowl combine cubed melon, sangria or grape juice, and jalapeno pepper, if desired. Toss gently. Cover and chill 2 to 6 hours.

Place 2 chilled watermelon "steaks" on each serving plate. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Spoon some of the salsa over each serving. Makes 4 servings.
