Walnut Brownies
Walnuts give this chocolate brownie recipe additional flavor and crunch. Mini chocolate chips melt on the top of these treats followed by a dusting of confectioner's sugar.

Ingredients
-
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
-
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
-
1-1/2 cups sugar
-
1 cup walnuts, chopped
-
1/2 teaspoon salt
-
4 eggs
-
3/4 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
-
1 cup all-purpose flour
-
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
-
Confectioners' sugar, for dusting
Directions
1.
Heat oven to 350 degree F. Line a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan with nonstick foil.
2.
Combine chocolate and butter in a medium-size saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth, about 4 minutes. Let cool slightly.
3.
Stir in sugar, walnuts and salt. Stir in eggs, one at a time. Stir in 1/2 cup of the mini chips, the flour and the vanilla. Pour into prepared pan. Sprinkle top with the remaining 1/4 cup mini chips.
4.
Bake at 350 degree F for 35 minutes or until brownie is dry on top. Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes, then use foil to lift brownie from pan. Cool, then dust with confectioners' sugar, if desired.
