Tuscan Pasta
A little bit of Tuscany comes to your table after making this tuscan pasta filled with fresh vegetables.
Hey, everybody. I'm Holly. You know what I find challenging as the cook of the family? It's finding a meal that everybody loves. So, I think I found a crowd pleaser. This recipe I wanna share with you is called "Tuscan Pasta." It's got all sorts of fresh vegetables and good flavors that everybody will like. First, we start out with boiling water; simple enough, let's go. Okay, while the water's boiling, we're gonna make our sauce. And I know, moms, we're short for time; so, we wanna buy the jarred sauce. But making your own, you know what goes in it. So, we have diced, undrained tomatoes. And then, we have tomato sauce. I sort of want to talk in an Italian accent right now. We're gonna add some great flavors. This is McCormick's Perfect Pinch Italian Seasoning, and there's no salt added to this; so, you can add as much as you want. I'm just gonna put that all in there. And then, black pepper, and garlic powder. We're gonna stir this all together and put it on the stove top, and heat it up. All right. Our sauce is on and the water's boiling; so, it's time to put the pasta in. All right, guys, go for a swim. Okay, to cook our veggies, we're just gonna get a large skillet and turn it on medium-high heat. Put a couple table spoons of olive oil in there. I chose to use fresh veggies for this dish instead of meat or sausage because it still has that great flavor but it's a little bit healthier for your family. We've got onions, and zucchini. Yum. And mushrooms. Cook them about 4 minutes or so until they're tender crisp. Ready to add to our sauce. Our sauce is done. Veggies look amazing. And pasta is al dente just like our family likes it. And now, we're gonna mix the sauce in with our vegetables. It smells delicious. Looks beautiful, and we just put it all together in one big, happy bowl. You can also swap whole grain pasta. And between that and the low-sodium option, and the veggies instead of meat, you've created a zest, healthier meal that the whole family will love. A little bit of Tuscany right on your dinner table. Enjoy.
