How to Make Monkey Bread

-Hey everyone, I'm Judith. We'll today, we're making something that all of the kids love, that's right. We're making Cinnamon Monkey Bread. So what you will need for this is 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar; 1-1/2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon; 3-1/2 cups of biscuit mix; 1/2 cup of milk; and 1/3 cup of granulated sugar; 3 tablespoons of butter or margarine, softened; 1 teaspoon of vanilla; 1 egg; 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine, melted; half a cup of powdered sugar if desired; and 2 to 3 teaspoons of water if desired. So, preheated our oven to 335 degrees Fahrenheit. Now, in our low pan right here, we've greased the bottom and the sides with shortening. So, that's ready prepared. So, first of all, in a small little bowl, we're gonna make some cinnamon sugar. That's right, so in goes the cinnamon, very easily and in goes the smaller amount of sugar. We're just gonna stir that up, and that's gonna be a lovely topping for our little monkey break balls, fun. Oh that smells good. Okay. So, into a large bowl, we're gonna add in our biscuit mix, out butter, our softened butter, not the melted butter, our sugar, and our egg. Our vanilla goes in there too. So, we're gonna mix that up until we get a nice dough forming. So, get your arm muscles working there and get it all together. So, once you've set it all together, let's get our hands in there and we wanna from a dough like so. So, it's all coming together like that. Get all the crumbly bits in. So with our dough, we're gonna get about 1 inch and we're gonna roll it into our 1 inch bowl like that. And that goes into our lovely cinnamon sugar, which we prepared, and we're gonna place them randomly into our loaf pan. So, we're gonna repeat with our remaining dough. So basically wanna roll it up into 1-inch balls, sprinkle them in that cinnamon sugar, get it covered there and we're gonna place some in our pan like so. Alright, we'll keep going. Great, so our little cinnamon balls are rolled up there into the loaf pan. So, last but not the least, we're just gonna drizzle our melted butter on the top of that to cover them. Oh, they are gonna be so good, and the melted butter is on, we're then just gonna sprinkle our remaining cinnamon sugar on top of that too. Give that extra little sweetness and flavor. Fantastic, so that is gonna go in the oven at 275 degrees Fahrenheit for about 25 to 30 minutes. Once, it's been in there for that time, then we're just gonna let it cool for 10 minutes before we transfer it to wide rock. Well, our monkey bread is out of the oven. It's been in there for about 25 to 30 minutes. We've let it cool for about 10 minutes, and that is ready to eat just looks and smells wonderful with our cinnamon. So, you can cut that up and serve that to the kids or to you guys of course and that will be delicious. So there you go, that's how you make cinnamon monkey bread.
