When you are having friends over and looking for a dip, make this slam dunk chili cheese dip. The end product resembles a basketball which is perfect for tailgating!
-Hey everyone, I'm Judith. Well, today, I'm gonna be showing you how to make some Slam Dunk Chilli Cheese Dip. If you're having your friends over, this is the one to make. So, what you'll need for this is 2 15 oz cans of chilli with beans; 1 8 ounce package of cream cheese, softened; 4 ounces of pepper jack velveeta cheese, chopped; 1 10-ounce can of hot tomatoes with green chillies, drained; and some black, chopped olives to garnish with. Alright, so first things first, let's get our chilli made. So, in goes the beans into a large mixing bowl right here, and we're just gonna add in our other ingredients. So, the cream cheese goes on there too, very indulgent nice little dip. Our velveeta cheese goes in there too. This is a derivative of Monterey Jack cheese, but they put a little bit of hot spicy peppers in there to spice things up. So, it's really nice cheese to put in there for a dip, and our tomatoes. Alright, so mix that all around, make sure we get that cream cheese softened and within all of the other ingredients. Give it a good stir. That looks good already. So what we're gonna do with out chilli is transfer it into a micro wave of a bowl and when we're gonna put it in the microwave on the very highest heat you can. Now, it's gonna go in there for 10 minutes, but every minute you wanna take it out and give it a good stir. So, 10 minutes in the microwave on highest heat, but every minute give it a stir and then we'll come back and get the rest of it going. So, we're taking out dip now from out of the microwave. It's been in there for 10 minutes. So, the next step is putting it in a cast iron skillet. Now, if you wanna do 3 smaller dips, it will be nice to get 3 smaller cast iron skillets and put it in there. Otherwise, you can get one large cast iron skillet we have here and we're just gonna pull that dip into it. Now, we have preheated our oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. So, that is nice and hot now for our dip to go in. There we go. So, this dip is gonna go into the oven for 15 minutes of 350 degrees Fahrenheit. so our chill cheese dip has come out from the oven. It's nice and hot, looking gorgeous and smelling fantastic. So, that's been at least, let's garnish it. We have here our chopped olives, and if you wanna go crazy, why not garnish it like a basketball. That's right. We're gonna do a little creative design here. Get all down the middle. Your friends will be laughing after you do this for them, but it's such a great dip to have while the game is on when your friends are over and, you know, a few ingredients make a lot of dip. This is a good amount of dip. Let's see if I have enough olives for this. There we go. It kind of resembles a basketball, though you think, well, more or less. There you go everyone. That's how you make your slam dunk and chilli cheese dip.
