-Hey everyone, Judith here. Well, today, I'm gonna be showing you how to make Basic Roasted Green Beans, one of my favorite side dishes. So what you'll need for this is 1 pound of green beans with the stem ends trimmed; 1 to 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil; 1/2 teaspoon of Kosher salt; pepper; and fresh lemon is optional too. So, this is very, very easy and really quick and just fantastic dish. You can have with chicken, beef, fish, anything you want. Love, love, love green beans, so very, very versatile. So, what we've gonna is we've got our greens beans here in a bowl and we're just gonna pour over our olive oil onto it. We'll put our salt on there too, give that a sprinkle, a little bit of pepper on their too. Now, obviously, if you wanna spice it up a little bit, you can put, you know, like a nice Moroccan spice on it, maybe a little bit of paprika, cayenne peppers, something like that, but for the basic green beans, we're just gonna do all need is olive oil salt and pepper. That is what most people have in there kitchen anyway. So, just to let you know, we have preheated our oven to 475 degrees Fahrenheit. So, the oven is getting nice and hot and ready for our green beans. Alright, so here we have a nice heavy baking sheets right here and if you'd like you can line it with parchment paper. Instead we've just spread it with a little bit of cooking spray just so the green beans don't stick and all we gonna do is put them onto the pan like so. Make sure we get all that extra olive oil and salt on there too, lovely. Now, these are gonna go in the oven at 475 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 minutes or until they get nice and tender, kind of that nice brown color and they will shrivel up just how I like them. Now, if you'd like, you can put them more towards the edge of the baking dish and that we will get a nice brown color a little bit faster. So, there you go. So, these go in at 475 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes. Well, I've taken my oven roasted greens from out of the oven and they are exactly how I want time, nice and shriveled up, a little bit brown and just looking beautiful, nice and soft and tender. So, we're just gonna pop these green beans back into the bowl. We stir them in or you can get a crushed bowl that's fine too. Now, if you find your green beans little bit dry because sometimes they dry in the oven, you can add a little bit of olive oil, but also just perfect like so and we'll just stir those up because we will have some of that salt in that bowl. So, stir them up like that and last but not the least, let's put on a little pinch of our pepper and some lemon juice on there too, which goes fantastic. Now as I say, this was a very basic one. We just do really olive oil and salt and pepper to roast them, but of course if you wanna go little bit [unk] you can get, you know, lemon and thyme infused oil. You can add some almonds to it. You know, you can really jazz up these greens beans and they are great for thanksgiving just as a side dish, you know, for any of your protein that you're doing or as simply a bowl like that. So, there you go everyone. That's how you make you oven roasted green beans.
