How to Make Nachos
When you are in the mood for a snack knowing how to make nachos is invaluable. These nachos are piled with cheese, beans, beef, jalapenos and more!
Hey, everyone. Judith here. Well, if you've got 25 minutes and you're craving nachos, this is the recipe for you because today I'm gonna be showing you how to make the Ultimate Nachos. So, what you'll need for this is 1 pound of ground beef, 3/4 cup of water, 1 package or about 1 ounce of taco seasoning mix, 1 can or about 15 ounces of refried beans, 5 cups of tortilla chips, 2 cups of chunky salsa, 1 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese, and 1/3 cup of sliced jalapeno pepper. Alright, this is a really fun recipe and really tasty. It's great for when you got your friends over and you want a snack. It's fantastic. So, in a nonstick skillet here, we're gonna get our heat to medium heat and we're gonna brown our ground beef. So, in it goes. Make sure to separate it with your spatula and we want to get this nice and brown and keep stirring it through and separating the beef. Once that's done, then we'll add in up our other ingredients. So, our ground beef is now nice and browned just how we want it. So, the next thing we're gonna do is add in our water and our taco seasoning mix. This is gonna give the beef a nice kick. So, in that goes. Just give it a quick stir. Get all of those ingredients in together. Now, so we're gonna bring that to the boil. Once it starts boiling, well then we're gonna reduce the heat and let it simmer for five minutes. Well, our ground beef filling is now done. It's thickened up nicely with the water and with the seasoning mix and that is looking delicious. If I had a spoon right now, I would just eat it from the pan but I won't. We're making nachos. So, what we're gonna do now is get a nice large platter. Get our tortilla chips. Now, you can use any ones you want. We're using a mixture of corn ones. I love the blue corn tortilla chips. If you're trying to get healthy, then maybe use black seed or something like that. So, in they go and this is the fun part. We are just going to spread over some of this lovely ground beef mixture on top there. That's gonna be nice and spicy and just done well good. Alright, let's smother that on top. Fantastic. Now, we warmed our refried beans for a few minutes in the microwave or you can put it in a saucepan and heat it up. Just get them nice and heat it through. Separate it a little bit. So, we have them right here looking delicious. Full of protein and fiber in these. It's all good stuff and we're just gonna lay it there down. This is just like-- it's like an English Trifle. We're just putting one thing on top of the other. Layering it so when you eat it, you've got all those lovely layers. So, that goes on top there. Lovely, lovely. And then, anything you have obviously laying around the house like if you got some [unk] or avocado. We're gonna be using some salsa here. We'll lay that right on top of the whole dish too. Oh, this is looking good. What a fantastic snack to have when people come over or if you're having a little Mexican fiesta. There we go. Spread some of your little grated cheese on top of that too. Oh, very, very good. And, have a little few jalapeno slices. You can dub them around on top of that too and there you have it. It's really quick, simple, easy, a fantastic Ultimate Nacho dish.
