How to Make Chicken Waldorf Salad

Hey, everyone, I'm Judith with recipe.com. Today, I'm gonna be showing you how to make a Chicken Waldorf Salad, a really quick, simple and delicious lunch time recipe. So, what we're gonna need for this is 12 ounces of cooked chicken breast, which we've cubed, 2 red apples which we've coarsely chopped, 1/4 of thinly sliced celery, 1/3 cup of coarsely chopped pecans, 1/3 of dried cherries, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1-1/2 teaspoons of dried rosemary, 1/3 cup of sour cream, and 1/3 cup of mayonnaise. And right here we have some fresh lettuce leaves. So, first things first, let's mix up our ingredients, our chicken goes in there, our apple, our celery, Our nuts and cherries are all going in there. This is a really great, great salad. Originally created by the Waldorf in New York of course back in 1893. There you go that's a fun pack for today. Alright, let's make our dressing. So, in goes our mayonnaise, sour cream goes in there too, little bit of lemon juice, honey of course. The sweet natural look complements these lovely tart cherries and our rosemary in that too with a nice aroma. So, we're just gonna stir all of that up together, get all those flavors in there and as I said how quick is this. You know, you probably have lying about in your house all these ingredients somewhere, and if you wanna make a variation, you know, a lot of people like the grapes in there too. So, whatever you have, I say put in. All we gonna do is lay that on top of our dried ingredients like so, smell that wonderful rosemary already. I'm gonna give that a nice mix. There you go. So, get all our dry ingredients infused with that creamy dressing. So, this can now go into the refrigerator for 24 hours, gonna get nice and cool and fresh and we serve on top of our fresh lettuce. Well, our chicken salad has refrigerated overnight and now it ready. It's nice and cool and fresh. All those beautiful herbs have infused into the chicken, and we're just gonna quite simply now serve it on top of some nice green fresh lettuce. So, we'll just get a nice spoonful right there and put it in the middle, and this is really a great lunch time recipe. Impress your friends when they come over for lunch.
