Hi, I'm Miranda with recipe.com, and today, I'm gonna show you how to make honey chicken. Now, this recipe is light, so easy to make and so delicious, but it also only takes 5 ingredients. It's not gonna take very long for us to go to. Plain old chicken is something really delicious and special so let's get started. So, I have our ingredients all laid out here. We have 8 pieces of chicken. I have a mix of thighs and drumsticks. It's about 2 pounds. We also have a quarter cup of honey and then a quarter cup of finely chopped scallions or green onions, that's the same thing. Then, I have a quarter of a teaspoon of garlic salt and then just a dash of red pepper. Now, my oven is behind me pre-heated at 400 degrees and we're going to start by arranging our chicken pieces in this lightly greased baking pain. You just wanna make sure that you have one that's large enough and so all your pieces can fit it without like crowding each other. So, let's just-- let this hang out it here. We're gonna pop this in because what we're going to start by doing is actually cooking them in the oven at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes before we brush them with all these yummy goodness over here so let's just arrange this. Make sure everyone has room to hang out in this picking dish and get all super yummy honey. Okay. So now we're pop this into the oven with half an hour and we'll come right back. Okay, so it's been 30 minutes. Our chicken is out of the oven here and ready to be glazed with all this yummy honey goodness. So, let's start with our glaze here. We're just gonna pop the honey in this bowl and then add the green onions, crushed red pepper a dash of it and the garlic powder and let's just mix this up making this nice delicious and unique honey yummy, yummy, yummy glaze. Okay. So, I have basting brush here and that's what we're going to use to generously brush the pieces of chicken. So, I'm going to just kind of like hold one steady like this. So, first just get some glaze on and then we're just gonna generously brush this over and you'll notice like because the chicken is hot it's going to immediately start melting down, which is great. That's what we want. It will pool underneath and we're just gonna continue until all of our pieces of chicken are nice and glazed. Okay, so they're all perfectly glazed. What we're gonna do is pop pieces of chicken back in the oven at 400 degrees for about 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown and the chicken itself is no longer pink so let's come back then and see how tasty it looks. Okay, so it's been another 15 minutes and we've just taken our chicken out of the oven. Look how delicious golden brown perfect it is. Look at this yummy glaze in the bottom. You have all this sort of like caramelizey, syrupy goodness. Let's just pop it on the plate. This is sure to please any chicken lover in your family. So delicious, so easy, just 5 ingredients to take you from regular chicken to honey-glazed goodness. There you have it. That's how you make honey-glazed chicken.
