Roe

The eggs of female fish and shellfish and the milt (sperm or reproductive glands filled with sperm) of male fish. Fish roe are considered a delicacy. Male fish roe are called white roe or soft roe. Shellfish roe are taken from crustaceans, such as lobsters. Their roe are sometimes called the coral.
