Glaze
A thin, glossy coating on a food. There are numerous types of glazes. A mixture of powdered sugar and milk can be drizzled on cookies, cakes, and breads for a glaze. A fruit sauce can serve as a glaze for ham; a mixture of brown sugar and butter makes a glaze for vegetables; and melted jelly can be used as a dessert glaze. Sometimes breads and pastries are brushed with a glaze of egg and water before baking to give them a shiny surface.

that aside for a few moments. Okay next, let's whisk up a glaze to put on top of our ham. Now a lot of the time the hams actually come with the glaze . Our ham came with the glaze that was already pre-prepared and it's always better to do a home-made glaze I filled. So, what we're gonna do is gonna put our-- the rest of our ingredients, the Dijon mustard, the honey andemulsify it together and that is gonna be a beautiful sweet smelling glaze . Okay, so we're gonna set aside our glaze because that is gonna be going on top of our ham a little bit later. Now, we've preheated our oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit so our ham now is ready to go in there for one and a half hours then we're gonna to take it out and we're gonna glaze it with this lovely creation we've just made. Well, it's been about an hour and a half and we've removed our ham from the oven looking really beautiful and colorful right there so now it's time to pour on a glaze , which we prepared earlier. I've taken about 1 cup and put it on the side there because we can serve that withsmells spectacular and it's ready now to serve up. Now obviously, our glaze was much better than any store-bought glaze . That is your brown sugar honey-glazed ham. Well, thanks for watching everyone.
