  • 3    medium red, yellow, orange, and /or green sweet peppers, cut into thin stripsOn Sale
  • 1  cup  shredded cabbageOn Sale
  • 1/4  cup  currants or raisinsOn Sale
  • 2    green onions, slicedOn Sale
  • 1/4  cup  white wine vinegarOn Sale
  • 3  tablespoons  salad oilOn Sale
  • 2 to 3  tablespoons  sugarOn Sale
  •   Few dashes  bottled hot pepper sauce (optional)On Sale

Directions
1.
In a large mixing bowl combine sweet peppers, cabbage, currants or raisins, and green onions.

For dressing, in a screw-top jar combine wine vinegar, oil, sugar, and, if desired, hot pepper sauce. Cover and shake well. Pour the dressing over the pepper mixture, tossing to coat. Cover and chill for 2 to 24 hours. Stir before serving. Makes 4 servings.
