  •     Assorted fresh tart red cherries and peeled and sliced green and golden kiwifruit (optional)On Sale

Directions

Stir together water and sugar in a small mixing bowl until sugar dissolves. Combine sugar mixture and wine in a 2-quart square baking dish.

Cover and freeze about 6 hours or until firm, stirring once or twice during freezing. Use a large metal spoon or ice cream scoop to scrape mixture into small serving dishes. Place the dishes in a large bowl; if desired, arrange ice cubes, cherries, and kiwifruit in the bowl before adding dishes. Makes 8 to 10 servings.

Alcohol-free Version
Combine 4 cups chilled white grape juice and 1/3 cup sugar. Pour into a 2-quart square baking dish. Cover and freeze at least 8 hours. Remove from the freezer for 15 minutes. Scrape the frozen mixture into small serving dishes, and serve as directed above.
