Directions
1.
In a large skillet cook onion and garlic in oil until tender. Stir in cabbage, pears, mixed dried fruit bits, red wine, wine vinegar, brown sugar, caraway seed, salt, and pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat.

Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally and adding water, if necessary. Makes 6 servings.
