Steak with Chipotle Cheese Sauce

Here's an easy-to-make, smoky chipotle cheese sauce that compliments the flavor of grilled steak. It's a great dish for guests, but it's so easy, it's great for every day too.

Ingredients

1 tbsp.olive oilsee savings

2large white onions or 1 large sweet onion, coarsely chopped (about 2 cups)see savings

1 can(10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's® Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soupsee savings

1/2 cupmilksee savings

-
1/2 tsp.ground chipotle chile peppersee savings

-
2medium tomatoes, coarsely chopped (about 2 cups)see savings

-
1skirt or beef flank steak (about 2 pounds), 1-inch thick, cut into 8 piecessee savings

1/4 cupchopped fresh cilantro leaves (optional)see savings

Directions
1.
Heat the oil in a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.
2.
Stir the soup, milk, chile pepper and tomatoes in the saucepan. Reduce the heat to low. Cook and stir for 3 minutes or until the mixture is hot and bubbling.
3.
Lightly oil the grill rack and heat the grill to medium. Grill the beef for 15 minutes for medium or to desired doneness, turning the beef over once during grilling. Spoon the soup mixture over the beef and sprinkle with the cilantro, if desired.
