Directions
1.
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine cookie dough with flour. Roll dough out to 1/4-inch thickness. To make 1 tree, cut 2 stars each from 4 different-size cookie cutters (we used 5-inch, 4-inch, 3-inch, and 2-inch sizes). Transfer to a baking sheet, and bake 14 to 18 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool 1 minute, and transfer to wire rack. Cool completely. Repeat to make 2 more trees.
2.
To stack, place a dollop of icing in center of each cookie, except those with gumdrops. Starting with largest, stack 2 of each size, alternating tips of stars. Continue stacking with the 3 smaller-size stars, finishing with gumdrop-topped star.
