Ingredients
    Meatballs:
    • 6   ounces Italian turkey sausage
    • 6   ounces extra-lean ground beef
    • 2   tablespoons grated onion
    • 2   cloves garlic, chopped fine
    • 1   egg white
    • 2   tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1/4  cup plain breadcrumbs
    • 1/2  cup Italian parsley, chopped fine
    • 1/4  teaspoon salt
    • 1/4  teaspoon black pepper
    Sauce:
    • 1   teaspoon olive oil
    • 3/4  cup chopped onion
    • 2   cloves garlic, chopped
    • 2   cans (14-1/2 ounces each) no-salt-added whole tomatoes
    • 1   can (16 ounces) tomato puree
    • 1   teaspoon dried oregano
    • 1   teaspoon dried basil
    • 1   teaspoon sugar
    • 1/4  teaspoon salt
    • 1/4  teaspoon black pepper
    • 3/4  pound spaghetti
    • 2   tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

    Directions
    1. 
    Heat oven to 375 F.
    Meatballs:
    1. 
    Remove turkey sausage from casings and place in a large bowl. Add beef, onion, garlic, egg white, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, parsley, salt and pepper. Mix together, then shape into 24, 1-inch meatballs.
    2. 
    Line a baking pan with foil; add a rack and coat with nonstick cooking spray. Place meatballs on rack; bake at 375 F for 20 minutes.
    Sauce:
    1. 
    Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion; cook for 5 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute.
    2. 
    Stir in tomatoes with their juice, puree, oregano, basil, sugar, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes. Add meatballs; simmer 10 minutes.
    3. 
    Cook spaghetti following package directions. Drain and transfer to a bowl. Top with meatballs and sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan and serve.
