  • 5    slices thick-cut bacon, cut into 1/2-inch piecesOn Sale
  • 2    cloves garlic, slicedOn Sale
  • 3  pounds  fresh Brussels sprouts, peeled, stems removed, and cut in halfOn Sale
  • 1 1/2   cups  waterOn Sale
  • 2  tablespoons  unsalted butterOn Sale
  • 1  teaspoon  sugarOn Sale
  • 1/2  teaspoon  kosher saltOn Sale
  • 1/8  teaspoon  ground black pepperOn Sale
  • 1  cup  chopped pecansOn Sale

Directions
1.
In a Dutch oven, cook bacon over medium-high heat until brown. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Drain bacon and garlic; set aside, discarding grease.
2.
To dutch oven, add Brussels sprouts, water, butter, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, for approximately 15 minutes, or until almost all water has evaporated from pan.
3.
Add reserved bacon and garlic, and pecans. Cook for 2 minutes. Serve immediately.
