  • slices thick-cut bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces

    fresh Brussels sprouts, peeled, stems removed, and cut in half

  • 1 1/2  cups
    water

  • 2 tablespoons
    unsalted butter

  • 1 teaspoon
    sugar
    see savings

  • 1/2 teaspoon
    kosher salt

  • 1/8 teaspoon
    ground black pepper

  • 1 cup
    chopped pecans

Directions
1.
In a Dutch oven, cook bacon over medium-high heat until brown. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Drain bacon and garlic; set aside, discarding grease.
2.
To dutch oven, add Brussels sprouts, water, butter, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, for approximately 15 minutes, or until almost all water has evaporated from pan.
3.
Add reserved bacon and garlic, and pecans. Cook for 2 minutes. Serve immediately.
