Shrimp Fra Diavolo
Diavolo is the Italian word for devil and refers to sauces seasoned with hot chiles. In this quick and easy recipe, the sauce is made with stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and red pepper flakes.

Ingredients

1 large onion, chopped

1 clove garlic, finely chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 can (14-1/2 ounces) Italian-style stewed tomatoes

1 can (8 ounces) no-salt-added tomato sauce
-
1/2 pound shrimp, peeled, deveined, halved lengthwise
-
12 ounces angel hair pasta
Directions
1.
Saute onion and garlic in oil in saucepan 3 minutes. Add pepper flakes; saute 1 minute.

Add tomatoes and sauce; simmer 5 minutes. Add shrimp; simmer until shrimp are translucent, 5 minutes.

Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain. Top with sauce. Makes 4 servings.
