Scallops with Thyme and Lemon

1 Poundlarge scallops, rinsed and patted drysee savings

1 Teaspoonsaltsee savings

1/2 Teaspooncayenne peppersee savings

3 Tablespoonsunsalted buttersee savings

2garlic cloves, pushed through a presssee savings

2green onions(white part only), choppedsee savings

1 Tablespoonchopped thyme or 1 teaspoon of dried thymesee savings

1 1/2 Tablespoonslemon juicesee savings

1 Teaspoonlemon zestsee savings

Directions
1.
Sprinkle scallops with salt and cayenne.
2.
Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it bubbles and begins to brown. Add garlic and green onions; cook, stirring, 1 minute.
3.
Add scallops, thyme, and lemon peel to skillet. Saute scallops 2-3 minutes per side, until lightly colored and cooked through.
4.
Drizzle with lemon juice and serve immediately.
