So what you'll need for this is 1 jar of traditional Italian sauce or roasted garlic herb Italian sauce; 1-1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese; 5 cups of tube shaped pasta ziti, cooked and drained; 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese. So, if you have 5 minutes to prepare meal for your whole family. This is the one, really quick and easy. So, let's get out ziti. Now, we've already cooked our pasta according to the package and instructions, drain it. So that is all cooked and ready. Now, all we gonna do is add in our Italian sauce. We're using this classic Italian sauce. So, give that a good stir, get all pasta, into that sauce. There's a lot of variation in tomato sauce you can buy nowadays with garlic, with herbs, with everything. So, obviously just take your pick, take it using what you prepare. Now, in our shallow casserole dish here, we've just sprayed it with some cooking spray and all we gonna do is toss in our pasta onto the bottom there. See, how quick and easy is this like so, put it all in there, alright, very good, and then, last but not the least, we're just gonna sprinkle our cheeses. So, we've got some mozzarella, some parmesan, and we'll give it a nice generous amount on top of our pasta there, but you can never have too much cheese to pasta and nice sprinkling of parmesan too. Okay, so, that is ready to go in the oven now. That is gonna go in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30 minutes. Alright, so our big ziti is out from the oven. It was in there for 30 minutes and it smells fantastic. The cheese melted onto our pasta and lovely golden brown on the top and that is ready to serve up now for your family and friends. That's how you make baked ziti.
What You'll Need
  • 1  24  ounce jar Prego® Traditional Italian Sauce OR Prego® Roasted Garlic and Herb Italian Sauce

  • 1 1/2  cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 5   cups tube-shaped pasta (ziti), cooked and drained

  • 1/4  cup grated Parmesan cheese

Step By Step
Stir the sauce, 1 cup mozzarella cheese and ziti in a large bowl. Spoon the mixture into a 2-quart shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 minutes or until the mixture is hot and bubbling.
To freeze, prepare the ziti but do not bake. Cover it tightly with foil and freeze. Bake frozen ziti uncovered at 350 degrees F. for 1 hour or until hot and bubbling. Or refrigerate frozen ziti for 24 hours to thaw. Bake thawed ziti uncovered at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes or until hot and bubbling.
For 8 servings, double the recipe. Spoon into a 3-quart shallow baking dish and bake for 45 minutes or until hot and bubbling.
