Kabobs
Sweet or savory, kabobs are always a party favorite. Whether you're in the mood for seafood, beef, veggies, or fruit on a stick, these recipes are sure to be a hit.
Cipollini look like small onions but actually are the bittersweet bulbs of the grape hyacinth. Fresh cipollini are available mostly in late summer and fall. If you can't find them, pearl onions work just as well.
Steak kebabs get a Southwestern spin with poblano peppers and a creamy sauce spiked with cilantro, chile powder, cumin and vinegar. The potatoes are partially cooked in the microwave before putting them on the grill so they're done at the same time as faster-cooking steak, peppers and onions. Serve with: Green salad and Spanish rice.
