Pepper-Glazed Pecans

Ingredients

1 cupwatersee savings

1 cupsugarsee savings

1-1/2 to 2 teaspoonscrushed red peppersee savings

2 cupspecan halves (about 8 ounces)see savings

Directions

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.

In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, and red pepper. Bring mixture to boiling. Add pecans and return to boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 12 minutes.

Drain; spread pecans in an ungreased shallow baking pan. Place in preheated oven and bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove pecans from oven; spread on buttered foil to cool.

Makes 8 (1/4-cup) servings
