Directions

In heavy, medium saucepan combine sugar, evaporated milk, and salt. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook and stir for 5 minutes.

Remove saucepan from heat. Add marshmallows, chocolate pieces, butterscotch pieces, the 1/2 cup chopped peanuts, and vanilla. Stir until marshmallows melt. Chill, if necessary, until firm enough to handle.

Shape mixture into a 15x2-inch log. Roll in finely chopped peanuts. Chill in refrigerator at least 4 hours; cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices. Store tightly covered in the refrigerator. Makes 30 slices (about 1-1/2 pounds).

Make-Ahead Tip
Prepare candy log as above. Tightly cover and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Slice as above.
