  • 1  16-inch loaf  French bread, split lengthwiseOn Sale
  • 8  ounces  sliced pastramiOn Sale
  • 1  6-ounce can  tomato pasteOn Sale
  • 1/3  cup  chili sauceOn Sale
  • 1/4  cup  chopped green pepperOn Sale
  • 1/4  cup  chopped pitted ripe olivesOn Sale
  • 2  tablespoons  sliced green onionOn Sale
  • 1-1/2  cups  shredded mozzarella cheese (6 ounces)On Sale
  • 1  medium  tomato, choppedOn Sale
  • 1/4  cup  grated Parmesan cheeseOn Sale

Directions

In a small mixing bowl stir together melted margarine or butter, basil, oregano, and pepper; brush over cut sides of bread loaf halves.

Place both bread loaf halves, buttered side up, on a large baking sheet. Top with pastrami slices. In a small bowl stir together tomato paste, chili sauce, green pepper, olives, and green onion; spread over pastrami slices.

Bake in a 400 degree F oven for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, chopped tomato, and Parmesan cheese. Bake for 3 to 5 minutes more or until mozzarella cheese melts and pizza is heated through. Slice each bread loaf half into 8 pieces. Makes 16 appetizer servings.
