    reduced-sodium chicken broth

Directions
1.
In a medium saucepan melt butter over medium-high heat. Add the onion, shallots, and thyme; cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 to 12 minutes or until vegetables are tender and browned.

Stir in the all-purpose flour; cook and stir for 1 minute. Add the broth, soy sauce, and the Worcestershire sauce. Cook and stir until mixture comes to boiling; reduce heat to medium. Simmer, uncovered, for 8 to 9 minutes or until slightly thickened. Stir in the salt and pepper. Makes 2-1/4 cups or nine 1/4 cup servings.
