Ingredients
  • 2  16-ounce cans
    pork and beans in tomato sauce

    barbecue sauce

  • 1/2  cup
    packed brown sugar

  • 2  medium
    tart apples, peeled, cored, and chopped (about 2 cups)

    onion, chopped (1/2 cup)

  • 3  slices
    bacon, crisp-cooked, drained and crumbled

Directions
1.
In a 1-1/2-quart casserole combine the pork and beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, apple, and onion.

Bake the bean mixture in the casserole, uncovered, in a 350 degree F oven for 60 to 70 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly and of desired consistency, stirring once or twice. Top with crumbled bacon. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
