Lemon-Basil Pasta With Vegetables

Ingredients

1 cuppackaged dried orecchietti, medium shell macaroni, corkscrew macaroni, or bow tiessee savings

1-1/2 cupsloose-pack frozen mixed broccoli, French-style green beans, onions, and red sweet pepper or other vegetable combinationsee savings

3 tablespoonsmargarine or buttersee savings

1 tablespoonsnipped parsleysee savings

1 clovegarlic, mincedsee savings

1 teaspoonfinely shredded lemon peelsee savings

1/2 teaspoondried basil, crushedsee savings

1/8 teaspoonsaltsee savings

Directions
1.
Cook pasta according to package directions, adding the frozen vegetables the last 5 minutes of cooking time. Drain.
2.
Meanwhile, in a small saucepan melt the margarine or butter. Stir in parsley, garlic, lemon peel, basil, salt, and ground red pepper. Pour over pasta mixture. Toss to coat. Makes 4 side-dish servings.
