Italian Style BBQ Sliders

The traditional burger gets an Italian twist in this mini burger recipe. Fresh mozzarella cheese and fresh basil add wonderful flavor.

3 pounds80/20 ground chucksee savings
-
1/4 cupHeinz 57 Saucesee savings
-
Salt and pepper to tastesee savings
-
Roma tomatoes, as neededsee savings
-
Fresh basil, as neededsee savings
-
24 3-inchbutter and egg dinner rollssee savings
Pesto Mayo Sauce
-
2 tablespoonspesto, preparedsee savings
-
1/2 cupmayonnaisesee savings
-
Fresh mozzarella cheese, as neededsee savings
Directions
1.
Build a charcoal fire or heat a gas grill.
2.
Place the ground chuck in a large bowl and add the Heinz 57 Sauce and salt, and pepper. Mix well. Shape the meat into 24 (2-ounce) patties.
3.
When the grill is medium-hot, brush the grill grate with oil. Place the burgers on the grill and cook for 4-6 minutes each side or longer if you prefer the burgers more well done.
4.
Slice the buns in half and toast cut side down on the grill.
5.
Spread both sides of the buns with pesto mayo. Place burger on bun and top with slice of mozzarella, tomato slice and fresh basil.
