Herb Dinner Rolls

Ingredients

3/4 cups milk

3/4 cup water

1/2 cup sugar

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives

1 teaspoon salt

2 (.25-ounce) packages active dry yeast

2 large eggs

7-1/4 cups sifted bread flour, divided

14 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, divided
Directions
1.
In a small saucepan, combine milk, water, sugar, parsley, chives, and salt over medium heat until just warm (105 degrees F to 115 degrees F). Remove from heat and mix in yeast and eggs.

In a large bowl, lightly stir together 5 cups flour and yeast mixture. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.

Stir in 8 tablespoons melted butter. Add another 1 1/2 cups flour and mix well. Cover and let rise for an additional 30 minutes.

Remove dough from bowl and knead in 3/4 cup flour for 3 minutes.
5.
Divide dough into 16 equal pieces. Shape into balls and place on lightly greased baking sheets. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for an additional 30 minutes.
6.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
7.
Remove plastic wrap. Bake rolls for 12 to 15 minutes, or until light brown.
8.
Remove from oven and brush with remaining 6 tablespoons melted butter.
