Grilled Italian Sausages with Peperonata

Go for grilled sausages Italian style, with lots of onion, garlic, peppers and olives.

4uncooked hot or mild Italian sausage links (about 1 pound)see savings

Peperonata

2 mediumyellow bell peppers, cut into 1/2-inch stripssee savings

2 mediumred bell peppers, cut into 1/2-inch stripssee savings

1 largeonion, sliced, separated into ringssee savings

2 clovesgarlic, finely choppedsee savings

1 tablespoonchopped fresh or 1 teaspoon dried basil leavessee savings

2 teaspoonschopped fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leavessee savings

1 tablespoonolive or vegetable oilsee savings

2 teaspoonslemon juicesee savings

1/2 teaspoonsaltsee savings

1/4 teaspoonpeppersee savings

1 cansliced ripe olives, drained (3.8 ounces)see savings

Directions
1.
Heat gas or charcoal grill. Place sausages on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook about 25 minutes, turning occasionally, until no longer pink in center.
2.
Meanwhile, in large bowl, toss all peperonata ingredients except olives; place in grill basket (grill "wok"). Place basket on grill with sausages; cook 5 to 8 minutes, shaking basket occasionally to turn vegetables, until bell peppers and onion are crisp-tender. Stir olives into peperonata.
3.
Serve sausages on buns with peperonata.
