Grape Cocktail

Ingredients

2 cups seedless red grapes, halved

2 tablespoons bar sugar

1 lemon, thinly sliced

8 ounces Cointreau

8 ounces Lillet Blanc

1 750-milliliter bottle white wine
Directions

Combine grape halves, sugar, and lemon slices in a large pitcher. Using a wooden spoon, muddle (squash) the fruit to extract some of the juice. Add Cointreau, Lillet Blanc, and top off with white wine. Stir and serve over ice in glasses.

To make this drink well ahead of serving, combine the ingredients and freeze until slushy. For a kids' party, omit the rum, and freeze the fruit juice mixture as frozen pops.
