1 pouchBetty Crocker® sugar cookie mix (1 pound 1.5 ounces)see savings

1/2 cupshorteningsee savings

1/4 cupmild-flavor (light) molassessee savings

1 tablespoonground gingersee savings

1 1/4 teaspoonsground cinnamonsee savings

1 teaspoonground clovessee savings

Glaze and Topping
-
1 cuppowdered sugarsee savings

1 teaspoongrated lemon peelsee savings

4 teaspoonslemon juicesee savings

1/4 cupfinely chopped crystallized gingersee savings

Directions
1.
Heat oven to 375 degrees F. In large bowl, stir cookie ingredients until very soft dough forms (dough will be sticky).

On ungreased cookie sheets, drop dough with 1 tablespoon-size cookie scoop or by tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
4.
In small bowl, stir powdered sugar, lemon peel and lemon juice until smooth. Spread glaze on cookies. Sprinkle with crystallized ginger.
