Garlic-Herbed Bread

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 Tbsp. snipped fresh Italian (flat-leaf) parsley
1-1/2 tsp. minced garlic (about 3 cloves)
3/4 tsp. kosher salt or 1/2 tsp. salt
Dash ground black pepper
1 14 to 18-oz. baguette or Italian bread
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a small bowl combine butter, parsley, garlic, salt, and a dash of black pepper.
2. Without cutting through bottom crust, slice baguette in 1-1/2-inch slices. Generously spread butter mixture between slices. Wrap baguette in heavy foil. Bake 15 minutes or until heated through. Serve warm. Makes 10 to 12 slices.
