Garlic Asiago Salad

This quick-fix, fresh romaine lettuce salad is ready to serve with dinner in 20 minutes.

Ingredients

1 10-ounce packageromaine mixed salad greenssee savings

1 cupbottled roasted red sweet peppers, thinly slicedsee savings

1 cuppitted ripe olivessee savings

-
1 cuppepperoncini salad pepperssee savings

1 cupgrape tomatoes, halvedsee savings

Basil Vinaigrette (see recipe, below)see savings

1 ounceAsiago cheesesee savings

Directions

Combine romaine mixed salad greens, roasted red peppers, olives, pepperoncini salad peppers, and tomatoes in large salad bowl. Pour vinaigrette (recipe below) over salad greens mixture; gently toss to coat. Peel thin slivers from the Asiago cheese using a vegetable peeler. Garnish each salad with the Asiago slivers. Serve immediately.

Garlic Vinaigrette Combine 1/2 cup bottled Caesar Italian salad dressing; 2 tablespoons snipped fresh basil; 1 clove garlic, minced; and 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground or cracked black pepper in a small bowl using a wire whisk. Makes 1/2 cup.
