When you are hot and thirsty, nothing chills like cool, tangy, sweet lemonade!

1 cupsugarsee savings

1 cupwatersee savings

4additional cups of cold watersee savings

1 cupfresh squeezed lemon juice (about 6 lemons)see savings

1/2 cupmint leaves (optional)see savings

Directions
1.
Bring sugar and 1 cup water to a simmer in a small saucepan, stirring until sugar dissolves. Let cool.
2.
Pour into a pitcher and stir in lemon juice. Add 4 cups cold water; cover and refrigerate.
3.
For minty lemonade, add mint leaves to the sugar mixture in saucepan. Strain before using.
