Curried Cashews

Instead of using cooking oil or melted butter for these snack nuts, we used apple juice concentrate. It helps cut the fat in the recipe.

    whole cashews

    bottled hot pepper sauce

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F . Line a 15101-inch baking pan with foil; grease the foil. In a medium bowl, combine cashews, apple juice concentrate, and hot pepper sauce; stir to coat nuts evenly. In a small bowl, combine curry powder, garlic salt, ginger, and allspice or nutmeg. Sprinkle over nut mixture; toss to coat nuts evenly.

Spread cashews in prepared baking pan. Bake about 15 minutes or until toasted, stirring twice. Cool. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
