  • 1/3  cup butter or margarine
  • 1/3  cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/8  teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 3   cups chicken broth
  • 1/3  cup half-and-half or light cream
  • 1/3  cup milk
  • 1 1/2  cups finely chopped, cooked chicken
