Cranberry-Grape Sauce

A traditional cranberry sauce recipe gets a sweet makeover with the addition of plump and juicy seedless red grapes.

Ingredients

1/2 cupwatersee savings

1/2 cupwhite zinfandel wine or cranberry juice cocktailsee savings

1/3 to 2/3 cupsugarsee savings

1-1/2 cupscranberries (6 ounces)see savings

3/4 cupseedless red grapessee savings

1/2 teaspoongrated fresh ginger or 1/2 teaspoon snipped fresh mintsee savings

Directions
1.
In a medium saucepan combine water, wine or juice, and sugar. Bring to boiling, stirring occasionally until sugar is dissolved. Add cranberries, grapes, grated ginger, if using, and cloves. Return to boiling. Reduce heat.

Cook, covered, for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Uncover and cook 10 minutes more, stirring occasionally. Stir in mint (if using) just before serving. Serve warm or chilled with roast goose or turkey. Makes 6 servings.
