Classic Margarita

The margarita includes ingredients that should stimulate the four primary tastes: sweet, sour, salty and bitter. This recipe achieves a nice balance of these tastes.

  • 1    part fresh squeezed lime juice (preferably Key/Mexican Limes)On Sale
  • 1    part tequilaOn Sale
  • 1    part triple secOn Sale
  • 1/2    part Grand MarnierOn Sale

Directions
1.
Rub lime wedge around the rim of a chilled margarita glass. Invert glass and press into a plate filled with 1/4" of Kosher salt. Set aside.
2.
Pour lime juice, tequila, triple sec and Grand Marnier into a shaker filled with ice. Shake until chilled. Strain into glass with salted rim and garnish with lime wedge.
