Chocolate Toffee Cookies

Ingredients

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided

1 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup sugar

3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cocoa

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 (10-ounce) package almond toffee bits
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Melt 1 cup chocolate chips in a heavy saucepan over low heat on stovetop. Set aside.

Beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar together in the bowl of an electric mixer at medium speed until fluffy.

Add eggs, milk, and vanilla to butter mixture, mixing well. Add melted chocolate, mixing until blended.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa, and soda. Gradually add to butter mixture, mixing well.

Add toffee bits and remaining 1 cup chocolate chips to dough; stir.
7.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake for 12 minutes. Transfer to wire racks to cool. Cool completely. Store cooled cookies at room temperature in airtight containers.
