  • 1  cup  bite-size cheese crackersOn Sale
  • 1/4  cup  fine dry bread crumbsOn Sale
  • 1/2  cup  buttermilk or milkOn Sale
  • 1  pound  chicken tenders (8), halved lengthwiseOn Sale
  •     Salsa, ketchup, mustard, and/or barbecue sauceOn Sale

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Put crackers in a resealable plastic bag; seal bag. Crush crackers with a rolling pin. Add bread crumbs to bag; shake to combine.

Pour buttermilk into a shallow bowl. Dip each piece of chicken into the buttermilk, turning to coat completely. Drop a few strips at a time into crumbs and shake to coat. Press crumbs onto chicken pieces. Place coated chicken pieces in a greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until no pink color is left in the center of the chicken and the crumb mixture is golden brown. Serve with salsa. Makes 4 servings.
