Caribbean Asparagus

Ingredients

1 pound fresh asparagus

1/4 cup butter, melted

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper

2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
Directions

Snap off tough ends of asparagus; discard tough ends. Place in an 11-x-7-x-1 1/2-inch microwave-safe baking dish. Cover dish tightly with heavy-duty plastic wrap; fold back a small corner to allow steam to escape.

Microwave on High (100 percent power) for 5 minutes, or until crisp-tender, turning dish after 3 minutes; drain well. Set aside and keep warm.

In a small bowl, combine melted butter, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Pour over asparagus. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro.
