Caramel Apple Crisp

Surprise! It's panko bread crumbs that add the crispy-crunchy topping to this cozy apple crisp.

Ingredients

4medium tart baking apples, peeled, sliced, (4 cups)see savings

1/2 cupcaramel-butterscotch toppingsee savings

3/4 cuppacked brown sugarsee savings

-
1/2 cupProgresso® Plain Panko Bread Crumbssee savings

1/2 cupquick-cooking or old-fashioned oatssee savings

1/3 cupbutter or margarine, softenedsee savings

3/4 teaspoonground cinnamonsee savings

3/4 teaspoonground nutmegsee savings

Directions
1.
Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Spray bottom and sides of 8-inch square pan with cooking spray. In large bowl, toss apples and caramel-butterscotch topping. Spread apples in pan. In medium bowl, stir remaining ingredients until well mixed; sprinkle over apples.

Bake about 35 to 45 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender when pierced with a fork. Serve warm with ice cream.
