Blockbuster Kids Snack: Spiderman Quesadilla Bites

Spiderman hits theaters next week, and what better way to celebrate than these spider-rific quesadilla bites?

You know, in a way, mom’s are better than Spiderman. We don’t need webs to climb walls; we have kids who make us do that! (Although webs would be handy to wrangle said kids.) And that spandex suit is probably better qualified to hold our post-child bodies in place than Spanx! I’m kidding. Kind of. Anyway, almost everyone loves a good superhero — make these for the Spiderman fans in your house, and you just might be elevated to Super Mom.

What You’ll Need:
tortillas
shredded cheese
salsa, pizza sauce or tomato sauce
sour cream
black olives

To Make Spiderman Quesadilla Bites:
Warm a skillet over medium heat. Lay a tortilla in the skillet, sprinkle entire surface with shredded chese, and cover with another tortilla. Once cheese is almost melted, flip tortilla over to brown other side. When quesadilla is crisp, remove from skillet and place on cutting board. Use an oval cookie cutter (or a small glass) to cut ovals for Spiderman’s mask. Use a teaspoon to spread a dab of salsa (or sauce) on the top of each oval. Spoon about 3 tablespoons of sour cream into a zip-lock bag. Using scissors, snip off a tiny bit of one corner of the bag and use it to “pipe” the sour cream web onto each Spiderman mask. Cut olives in half and place halves on Spiderman mask for the eyes. Serve warm.
