Or, look at it this way: If our sweetie is planning to pop the question with a super romantic night that includes a big, shiny ruby ring, flowers, fireworks, a limo ride and the services of a professional photographer and videographer, well, not to sound like prima donnas here, but we’d probably expect dinner to be something a tad nicer than a <a href="http://eater.com/archives/2012/02/09/pizza-huts-10k-engagement-party-package-includes-ring-fireworks-pizza.php/$10 Pizza Hut Dinner Box.
Food blog Eater reports Pizza Hut’s Ultimate Valentine’s Day Proposal in a Box includes the aforementioned bells and whistles, alongside the company’s Dinner Box, “a medium one-topping rectangular pan pizza, five breadsticks with marinara sauce and 10 cinnamon sticks with a sweet icing cup in one box.”
According to a release from Pizza Hut, 10 packages are available via PizzaHut.com, Eater notes.
“If we’re able to fit pizza, breadsticks and dessert into one box for only $10, why stop there?” Kurt Kane, Pizza Hut CMO, asks in the release. “Our customers want the best of everything, from their food to memorable life experiences. So we decided to make one of those experiences–the marriage proposal.”
Pizza fans eager to pop the question have until February 14 to buy the new twist-on-a-ring box, and until the end of March to use it. PizzaHut.com states the company will refund the–uh–dough if the package isn’t used by March 31. It doesn’t say what it’ll do if the ring recipient says no, but if she says yes? Well, we’re pretty sure we know what will be served at the wedding reception. Although, we would draw the line at a cinnamon stick cake. Just sayin’.
