Pork Kabobs: 30-Minute MealColorful, easy to make sweet and sour pork kabobs are a summertime improvement on the classic takeout favorite. And the big difference is the grill. You want to be outside anyway at this time of the year, so why not pop your favorite Chinese dish right on the barbecue?

What’s so great about this recipe for sweet and sour pork kabobs is that it not only tastes authentic but it’s so quick to make — under 30 minutes! And what could be easier: Just load a skewer with cubes of pork, bits of pineapple, and chunks of red and green peppers — that’s it. Add a little soy sauce, some vinegar, and a minced clove of garlic, and you’re good to go.  The whole family will love this summer meal. And you’ll love making sweet and sour pork kabobs because it’s hard to find anything this satisfying that’s so easy to prepare.

Of course, this dish is good for you, too. It’s low in calories, low in sodium (don’t worry about a little soy sauce), and crunchy from vegetables. If you’ve got a rice maker (and you should have one), just crank it up to provide a bed for your beautiful — and fast — summer dinner.
