Paella Pronto: 30-Minute Meal

Yes, paella is a backyard thing, with a big pan over hot coals and lots and lots of work. Lots of ingredients, too. Unless, you go for this quick and easy Weeknight Paella. It might lack a little of the olé flair of a real paella cooked outside in Spain. On the other hand, it’s plenty tasty and so simple to make.
The secret here is using rotisserie chicken, which you can pick up at the supermarket on the way home. Frozen shrimp. Pre-cooked sausage. And the best part of all: chicken-and-garlic rice and vermicelli mix.
When you’ve got the time, by all means play around with making an authentic paella. On busy weeknights, make this beauty right in the skillet. And, when someone asks what you’re making for dinner tonight, say, “Oh, I’m just whipping up a paella.” Nobody has to know the Weeknight Paella recipe only takes a half hour to make.
