pad thai with shrimpSlurpy, spicy Thai noodles are good anytime, anywhere. So why save Pad Thai for when you dial your local restaurant for takeout? In the time it takes for delivery, you’ll have fragrant pad Thai, loaded with shrimp, refreshing with lime, cilantro, and scallions, and crunchy with chopped peanuts ready for the gang.

Just pick up a few readily available specialty items in the Asian-foods aisle at your supermarket, and keep them on hand for when the mood strikes: rice noodles (the linguine style), soy sauce (or fish sauce if you like the taste of the sea a bit more), and rice vinegar (but white vinegar works just as well). The rest of the ingredients are all a cinch to pick up at the last minute.

Fire up the wok; it’s time for Pad Thai with Shrimp!
